It's time to own everything about your process.
It’s Your Process
Your process isn’t always easy, and your community may not always understand it, but it is yours, predestined for you, to stretch you, grow you, uplift you, and escort you into your NEXT. Others may not understand it because it isn’t meant for them to understand. They may never comprehend why you left what they thought was an ideal relationship, or why you stayed in what they thought was the wrong relationship. They may never grasp why you left that job that paid you so well or why you stayed at the one that pays mere pennies. They won’t, and that’s okay, because this is your process for you to understand the lessons, for you to grow from the struggles or hard decisions, and for you to relish in the blessings once you come through the other side of this process. One of the lessons we all learn is who loves and supports us through the process whether they understand the process or not. Take note, it speaks volumes.
Walk In It
Good, bad, easy, challenging, passing, or failing, walk boldly in your process. When you make a mistake, own up to it, apologize if necessary, and move on. Don’t get stuck in what you did wrong, but instead, learn from it and make the necessary adjustments not to make that mistake again. Will you have to make that mistake more than once in different situations? Perhaps, if you don’t get the lesson learned the first time, but however many times you need to make that mistake is dependent upon you recognizing that mistake, learning from that mistake, and preventing that mistake from happening again. Celebrate and celebrate you often. When going through a process, don’t forget to celebrate the fact that you received the revelation from that mistake, so you don’t make it again. Celebrate the fleshly win for not falling into temptation of giving up, giving in, or quitting. Celebrate that you woke up in the morning determined to get through one more day of your process. Celebrate that today you said “I will be positive no matter what” and you walked in Philippians 4:8 in a way that surprised even you. If you need an accountability partner, find one that you can trust to have the hard conversations with you when you’re too much in your own head, when you’re being kidnapped by negativity, when you need a smile, words of encouragement, and even when you need a good laugh. Perhaps all of this isn’t in one person but find these accountability checkpoints in a trustworthy person or in trustworthy people and continue walking boldly in your process.
