When you stop trying to be everything for everyone, the amazing you shines through!
When do you say enough is enough?
When do you seek the answers for the things that are tough?
Why do you run around like a chicken with its head cut off? Or put mortals on a pedestal when at your behavior, they scoff
Just stop trying to impress man with jumping at their every beckoning call
For at the end of the day, you are the one who, dead tired, will fall
Just stop trying to answer every question, whether addressed to you or not
It’s time to regroup, refocus, and of the excessive behavior, to just stop
Just stop and figure out the root cause of the deeds
Why do you have to be liked by everyone? Why do you have this need?
Just stop and figure out why you go completely out of your way
To do and be everything for everyone, thinking your name is the only one they can say
Just stop thinking you can answer every email with just the right response
Just stop rationalizing how you can complete five tasks all at once
Just stop creating lists that are never-ending and leave you feeling anxious for the next day
Just stop complaining about all the questions, but you don’t teach others or show them the
way
Just stop and identify where the source of the actions lies
Just stop and put the unhealthy behavior in the grave to die
Just stop and recognize that being a “Yes” person is not healthy for you
Just stop and realize what the stress, anxiety, and running around actually skews
Just stop and think about the lack of sleep, or the headaches from the stress
Just stop and contemplate about the mind racing in the middle of the night, causing unrest
Just stop and consider the lack of time to hit the gym or properly prepare balanced meals
Just stop and understand what all of these actions really reveal
Just stop trying to be Jesus, for there was only one and He needs not a clone
Just stop trying to be God, for only He can be everywhere and anywhere; only God alone
Just stop trying to lead the Holy Spirit, for the flesh has plans that God does not always approve
Just stop trying to be more than who you are, for God created an amazing, anointed, uniquely you
Just stop
No one hates his own body but feeds and cares for it, just as Christ cares for the church. ~Eph 5:29 (NLT)
Have you cared for your body the way Christ cares for the church? Or have you cared for everybody except yourself?
